Message From Superintendent Cox |

Hello,
My name is Superintendent Matt Cox and I have had the privilege of leading local policing in Camden for the past year. It is a role I care deeply about, and I am incredibly proud to serve such a vibrant and diverse community.
There is already much to be proud of. Over the last 12 months, we have seen significant reductions in several key crime areas. Robbery and theft have fallen by around 30%, motor vehicle crime by approximately 20%, and burglary by 8%. These achievements are the result of the hard work and dedication of local neighbourhood policing teams, supported by specialist officers from across the Metropolitan Police Service.
While these improvements are encouraging, we know there is still more to do. I regularly hear concerns from residents, businesses and visitors about issues such as drug-related anti-social behaviour, retail crime, and violence against women and girls. These are priorities for us in the year ahead, and we will continue to work alongside communities and partner agencies to make Camden safer for everyone.
One thing I have learned throughout my policing career is that we achieve the best results when we work together. We cannot do this alone. Your views, experiences and feedback help us understand the challenges facing local communities and allow us to focus our efforts where they are needed most.
This is why I am so passionate about Met Engage, our online community platform. It gives us a valuable opportunity to listen to local people, share updates on the issues that matter, and build stronger connections between the police and the communities we serve.
As a valued Met Engage subscriber, I would like to ask for your support. Please consider sharing the Met Engage link www.metengage.co.uk with your friends, family, neighbours, colleagues and local networks. The more people who join the conversation, the better we can understand local concerns, respond to them effectively, and work together to make Camden an even safer place for all.
Thank you for your continued support.
Best wishes, Superintendent Matt Cox
